Name: Aset Sharai
Gender: Female
Age: 22
Tohsu: Aset has an agreement with a Kamui of fire, giving her great control over the element of fire and heat. As the commander of the Earth Division, Aset doesn't participate in most combat, though when she does, she prefers to use her Tohsu or a sword.
Appearance: Aset stands five feet, seven inches tall with long, wavy, red-blonde hair to her shoulder blades. Her eyes are colored by her Tohsu making them an unnatural, fiery color.
Personality: Aset is an outrageously laid back person. She loves to be loved and is easy to love. In any casual setting she is completely random, spontaneous, impulsive, and lacks most sense of severity and seriousness. She laughs a lot and is almost always moving around. She cannot sit still at all. If she comes upon students in the middle of a prank or something else against the rules, she is most likely to laugh along with them and even offer assistance. She doesn't believe in harsh punishment of the students in most situations.
In her professional position as commander, however, Aset is almost an entirely different person. She has an acute sense of honor and duty and strives to reach and surpass her own great expectations. Contrary to her behavior in casual life, Aset can sit on a trap she sets for days without boredom. She enforces discipline among her troops strictly and doesn't tolerate any disobedience. Aset is an honest person except when her job calls for a lie, which she will give without a single thought of regret or wrongdoing. However she is opposed to underhanded, or deceitful tactics in battle. She will endeavor to find any honest, or honorable way to achieve her goals. She holds complete and utter loyalty to those she has sworn her service to, which is NOA and her troops. The thought of betraying it would never cross her mind in any situation. She would withdraw formally and honorably before she took any action against an organization that holds her loyalty.
Due to her casual behavior in opposition to her professional behavior, Aset makes a horrible first impression as a commander to anyone she meets in a non-professional setting. The students are often baffled by her contrary behavior when she assists them in skipping class, but punishes them severely for skipping out of drill. Aset is predictable, though. She has very well defined boundries. Morally, she holds that she will never cross the lines she has drawn for herself. Once a person knows her, it is very easy to decipher her reaction to any behavior based on the situation. Anyone who works with her knows when they can get away with what.
History: Aset grew up in NOA. Her parents were high ranking officers. Such a childhood greatly affected her personality as an adult and gave her the chances she needed both to obtain such a powerful Tohsu and to prove herself as a competent officer raising her to one of the two most powerful positions.
Strengths and weaknesses: Aset is a brilliant strategic thinker. Though her personality is often quite predictable, her plans are not. Often they seem completely insane or impossible, yet they almost always manage to work brilliantly. She does not hold much confidence in most other NOA officers, though. She trusts, to a degree, those she has promoted herself, and Ryu to a greater degree, though her trust in personal ability diminishes the farther down the hierarchy you are. Aset's pride, honesty, and loyalty make her relatively easy to manipulate and make her a target for betrayal.

Aset enjoyed days off, though she worried all the while. This day off however, was to be short lived. The instructor for a class of nine years olds had fallen ill the night before, and there was no one available to substitute so Aset was asked to. She didn't know why they bothered having her teach. She never forced anyone to pay attention. She didn't collect the previous evenings work. She didn't give work for that evening. She would attempt to teach the subject, but she often got extremely sidetracked and would end up talking about an excursion in the mountains she had taken the week before in a geometry class. Due to this, however, most students loved having her as a substitute. Those having her for the first time, however, were naturally intimidated by her rank, though they quickly relaxed.
The agenda for the day's lesson was economics. What nine year old is going to understand any economics? she wondered to herself. In light of the impossible subject matter and her own failings as a teacher she decided to take the children on a field trip into the ruined city. Perhaps there she could show the children the affects of economics and they might remember it.
A few hours later, Aset was walking backwards down the rubble filled street, facing a small group of nine years olds and gesturing all around her to emphasize what she was saying. The children were either staring fixedly at her, or gazing around them to take everything in. Most of the children had never been out of EDEN before due to the danger present. Aset knew she could protect the children, though, so she wasn't worried.
As the group stepped around a pile of rubble, Aset saw the children's' eyes go wide with fear as she felt the presence of a weak Atanon. Aset spun around to face the threat and reacted immediately, before she even had fully taken in what she faced, by surrounding the children in a huge ring of fire reaching high in the sky. She desperately hoped that the children had the sense not to touch her protection. Facing the Atanon, Aset slowly walked out into the street where there was a bit more room to move. Shying away from the column of fire, the Atanon struck out at Aset. Aset threw balls of fire at her foe, her expression completely serious. NOA's goal was to subdue any Atanon it faced and send it back where it came from to avoid any harmful affects to the world its death may cause, but in this situation where any failure on Aset's part would cause the death of children, Aset was going for the kill.
The Atanon saved her the trouble, though. It retreated moments later and Aset breathed a sigh of relief. She brought down her ring of fire to find the children, now hot and sweaty, huddled in the center of the charred pavement. Aset approached the children and kneeled down to their level. "Is everyone okay?" she asked. The children nodded, still afraid "And that's another reason why the economy is in a recession," she said with a grin. Some of the children laughed slightly as Aset stood and directed the children back to the NOA complex. She was going to get in so much trouble for this.
